More national postseason field hockey awards keep pouring in for Lancaster-Lebanon League players.

Four league standouts have landed spots on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Mid-East All-Region Team — including a pair of players who recently earned All-American honors from the NFHCA.

Penn Manor's Jill Witmer and Donegal's Laura Gebhart — freshly-minted members of the All-American squad — joined Cocalico's Jordan Page and Manheim Central's Cassandra Wagner on the NFHCA's Mid-East All-Region list.

Witmer, Gebhart, Page and Wagner were four of 16 players who made the list, and all of those players are from Pennsylvania.

Witmer, a University of Maryland recruit, finished her career with more than 100 goals for the Comets, who went 25-1-1 this past season, their lone loss in the state quarterfinals. She helped Penn Manor win L-L League and District 3 Triple-A titles.

Gebhart, a junior midfielder, had 21 goals and 14 assists and helped Donegal reach the L-L League title game, win the District 3 Double-A crown and reach the state semifinals.

Page, a junior midfielder, had 18 goals and chipped in with 11 assists for the Eagles, and she accepted an athletic scholarship offer from Syracuse University before the start of last season.

Wagner, a senior defender, scored 10 goals and had six assists this past season for the Barons.

Gebhart and Page are members of the U.S. Under-17 Nation Team, and will soon compete in a Junior Olympics qualifier in Uruguay. The Junior Olympics will be held next August in Singapore.

This is the first time the U.S. has sent a national team to the qualifying tournament in Uruguay — and a pair L-L League team standouts join forces for the U.S. team.
