I'm not clear on why Donal Totaro would reveal a seemingly unrelated motive, i.e. the stillborn death of Roberts' first child, but not reveal the motive that has been spoken of almost immediately following the massacre of these children. Did they speak too soon yesterday?

There's now a PSP press conference on that said something about Roberts having molested family members in the past... I didn't get the whole thing.
Ew. The short version of the presser that is now in Q&A appears to be that Roberts had molested girls as a younger boy and said something in his notes about having had dreams for the past two years of doing it again. Also, his "equipment" for the siege included KY-Jelly, so PSP is speculating he intended a long time with the girls that was to culminate in his suicide but that he became "disorganized" when the police showed up sooner than he'd anticipated. SOmething is being said that they have indications that he'd begun making plans for this on 9/26.

How many other people, when hearing at the very first that something happened to him at age 12 involving molestation thought that something happened TO him as a child of 12 and not BY him as a child of 12?

And to have nothing else go on for twenty years? Something just seems not quite right and so hard-to-believe about all of this.

Is molestation going to become the "new" addiction?

Time was, you screw up, say "I'm addicted", do a turn at Betty Ford and bounce back to the limelight. Now are we going to see molestation dropped as a justification for anything from shooting up a school to chatting up a House page, and the doers expect absolution?
