The republicans had their chance with Bill Scranton... he could have given Rendell a heck of race. But instead, Swann was selected.

I still can't quite figure out hte logic, but I think it has something to do with keeping angry voters home?

If you can't send your kids to college on a judge's salary you're too stupid to be a judge.

I AGREE.
And Ed talks about needing citizen soldiers in HArrisburg instead of PRoffesional legislators doing and saying whatever it takes to keep thier posisitons....well if that's not calling the kettle black then I don't know what is.

I say let the judge's kids work while they go school like many other students must do.

Can anyone tell me the actual breakdown of how much of the states profit from gambling will actually go to property tax relief? Rendell sold everyone on the idea that all the proceeds would go to property tax relief, yet i recall reading somewhere that with money earmarked for virtually everything else under the sun, that property tax relief would get around 20% of the profits. I have not seen a thing on this since and I am wondering just what the real deal is.
