The Lancaster County franchise of Home Instead Senior Care has been sold by Jeff and Susan Wise to John H. Gibbel and Joy M. Roy.
The sale, for an undisclosed price, was announced Thursday.
The franchisee, based at 255 Butler Ave., employs 10 administrative staff and about 125 caregivers, serving about 90 clients, Gibbel said.
It is one of 875 franchises in 14 countries for the Omaha-based chain.
Gibbel, of Lancaster, previously spent 14 years at Gibbel Insurance Agency, where he became a vice president and part owner.
Roy, of Dillsburg, has been a registered nurse for 14 years.
Jeff Wise remains with the business as a consultant. His wife, Susan, continues as a marketing representative. Their son Doug remains as sales manager.
The Wises opened the local franchise in 2005.
Home Instead caregivers provide companionship, personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, errands and shopping for seniors, to support their independence and quality of life.
