I wonder how much faster they really are going. Sometimes when I am on my way to work, coming down 283, I have a train going the same direction as me heading towards Lancaster. It almost seems like we are going the same speed. I wonder if now that they upped the speeds, if it will blow by me like I just hit the brakes........

There have been speed restrictions on most of the line for years due to tie and rail conditions. Some as low as 30 mph.The work we are doing will allow 110mph and you will be able to notice it from the road.Keep your eyes open......

The train offer's much more than other's type's of travel . Like a safer more comfortable ride, and scenic view's filled with romance......

In addition, reliable and faster train service will help to get some of the cars that are choking our roads off these roads. May not be a lot but every little bit helps.

This is nice to hear. I can't wait till I have to go home next... I wonder if Amtrak will have any express service soon that only stops at philly, lancaster, and harrisburg.
