Dodgecrew, I believe that CSI story was modeled after an incident in Phoenix where a young girl was sitting outside on her patio and was killed by a bullet fired from a gun miles away. The shooter was never found. In some cities (US and others) New Year's is celebrated by people firing their guns in the air. Falling bullets from automatic weapons have killed a number of people.

That is very interesting. Too bad they did not call in the CSI crew.....I do not think that there is a crime out there that Grissom cannot solve.......

Well I'm not so sure.

Grissom has taken more than one episode and still has not solved the case of the miniature models serial killer!
