Anyone remember when it used to be free to stroll the park during the Christmas holiday? Granted, you had pay the ubiquitous parking fee, but entrance to Candylane was free. This year has ushered in hefty admission prices to "HersheyPark in the Dark" as well as Candylane.
I realize that there are costs associated with running both of those events (power, personnel, etc.), but it's not like HERCO isn't making any money the rest of the year!
I'll be choosing to spend my holiday entertainment dollars elsewhere...

I love it! I'm coming. I'm in Florida!

WGM: You know, I agree with you. HERCO can't find enough ways to spend the money that Milton Hershey earmarked for 'orphan boys.' You'd think that they'd be able to do this for free as a Christmas present to the community.

Especially when you consider that they are collecting eight dollars from each parked car. That means a family of four would have to drop all but 50 bucks just to walk in the front gate.....

Hopefully, Hospice will have the light display at Long's Park again this year.
I eat more than my share of hershey chocolate the rest of the year.
