I was first going to write and give all of you my sympathy for having to be screwed by all of the LCCA partners - in dollars and in the no sense that Mr. Adams writes. The cutting remarks about a guest editorial writer. The snotty little headline aimed directly at those who would dare to point out the fact of the taxes to come. The admitted taxes that are coming. But then I happened to notice who Time Magazine has named "person of the year."

And it's you... you the bloggers and the website owners who are not daunted by this seemingly unforgiving, snickering, rolling "we have the money so we know what's best for you so go away and shut up" machine that calls itself the LCCA and the PSP. Yes, you bloggers may be small compared to the newspaper now, but you have made yourself seen to people across the country. Questioning the actions, the rationale, and the destruction of the last decent square holding any historic value in America's oldest inland city. Questioning the mortgaging of your county's taxpayers for generations. You may have lost a grand building, but your numbers are increasing, people are noticing, and perhaps, just perhaps, this sort of thing can be kept from happening again.

The fat lady hasn't sung. The fat lady is just getting started.

Wow - thanks harv1 for so eloquently voicing your opinion on this childish piece of "editorial" garbage.

We're the citizens watching as our history is being torn down.

We're the citizens enduring the ever increasing property and school taxes without a decent voice to defend us.

We're the citizens trying to make ends meet while wealthy developers and legislators become wealthier off our backs.

We're the citizens whose future generations will not know the beauty of Lancaster's historical treasures because greedy men want luxury hotels to replace historic landmarks.

We're the city residents who will be paying property and school taxes on a luxury hotel for the next 20 years.

Marv has been working at this paper for way too long. He's lost it. I wonder if Clyde reads this crap. Note to Marv: You should have somebody proof your wife's articles. In today's paper, she said: "Soon after the commissioners took office in 2003, Shaub and Shellenberger began looking into a sale of Conestoga View."

NOT TRUE !! Correction / Clarification required.

Thanks to Lanco Yokels for his latest article:
