If you read the full story, this goes far beyond any PFA. There was no PFA, she tried to get a PFA after telling law enforcement she had been stabbed. Hence, the reason for the charge of unsworn statement falsification on top of all the filing false reports with law enforcement. I interceded by finding out that she went for a PFA and informed the court I'd testify via telephone since I was in Western Canada. Of course by this time, she confessed to making up all of these accusations. Going back 8.5 years. No, this wasn't about a PFA, this was a vile and vengeful attempt to see me in prison period. I just thank my lucky stars I was not in PA...I am thankful for that everyday.

One more thing...where's Becky with her words of wisdom?

Ronniedog, I am glad that this has taken place, and that you have been cleared of this. I wish it could happen for my best friend. Her husband was having an affair and decided he wanted rid of her so he could move his girlfriend into the house, so what did he do, he filed a PFA on her saying she abused him and the children. None of it was true. She was told that she had 8 hrs to get all of her clothes and be out of the house or they would arrest her. The same day she was out he moved the girl friend in. She was not allowed to have any contact with her children or him until they appeared infront of a judge 2 days after Christmas. We went to court but never got infront of a judge. The lawyers did though and she was allowed supervised visitation for 3 hours at her parents house but her parents were the ones that had to pick the children up and drop them back off to their father, until the next court date, which was in the 3rd week of January. Between the court dates she had to see a criminal psychologist to be evaluated to see if she was truly a violent and abusive person. The criminal psychologist wrote in his report that this woman had NO violent or aggressive behavior and that he found the husbands allegations to be false and even suggested that the husband should be evaluated. (never happened). My best friend had to pay for all of the tests, evaluations out of her pocket and until she was finished she spent 7,000 dollars. Which cleaned out her savings. When we went back in for her court date, the lawyers once again saw the judge because the husband had copies of all the evaluations and such and dropped the pfa against her because it was a false filing to begin with. Of course he didn't confess it was all false and to this day he hasn't had to face up to anything. Other things have taken place over these past 3 yrs now, and she has full custody of her daughter and partial custody of her son. The daughter wants nothing to do with her father because since she started telling the truth to the lawyers and to the judge when they went to court about the custody, her father told her (in hearing distance of her mother, grandparents and myself) that since she did what she did, she is not his daughter. The judge gave an order that the daughter has to see her father for 3 hrs once a week. When she does go there he isn't home so she visits with her brother and the girlfriend and the girlfriends daughter. The father comes home a half hour before she has to be taken back to her mother so he can drive her home. Sometimes when a court says they do things in the best interest of the children I seriously question their thinking at times.
Sorry for the book. Again Ronnie congrats on a long time coming victory.

Sad part is it is not a victory for Ronnie until she is found guilty and then with all the time money and heart ache, it will never be a victory.

Ronniedog & LocalWm, there should be tougher penalties for false allegations and arrests should be made for those who misuse our law enforcement and judicial systems. The situations shared by both of you prove this. I don't understand how justice isn't served, especially when those who file false allegations use resources that genuine victims of abuse truly need.

Groundpounder:

She confessed to each and every one of these allegations, what is there about "if she is found guilty?" She admitted to law enforcement that each and every one of her stories were fabricated. Plea bargain is what is next in store.
